At last! All is revealed! Here is the doorstopper I’ve been working on all this time. Release date 15th February 2018. Available for preorder now. All the info here.
Excited about The Ember Blade. Looking pretty…uh…lit? As the kids say. Also, I think its a mixture of 2016/2017 and Mr.Wooding. The combination is almost unbearable, but we got this.
I’ve actually been working on a lot of my own writing, been a tad inspired lately, which is phenomenal, oot oot! Was just reminiscing over The Braided Path Trilogy because I always used to listen to Coheed when I picked up those books. I was driving to work yesterday and I heard “Mother Superior” come on in the car… instantly had flashbacks. Always gets me nostalgic. Made me want to pop in and check out the blog though. I am very pleased to see a new book announcement, and it’s the day after my twenty-fifth birthday! Happy Belated to me! Happy to see that you’re still creating magic, Chris. Still in the beginner stages of some of the bigger literary spells over here, so keep lighting the way man!
Double up on the question of whether it will be published in the US. Will it soon? I know I can order it from the UK but it means some delay and bother. It is not listed in Amazon US at all at this time.
It hasn’t gone out to international publishers yet as we’re still (!) editing, so no US date as yet. It will almost certainly end up coning out later than the UK version though.
Just finished reading The Ember Blade and loved it. Can’t wait for the next one in the series. Gets a 10/10 from me, one of the best books I’ve read in quite a while.

I was all hyper when I’ve read the news on Twitter, and loved the article on Gollancz.
Now I’ve realised I have to wait almost aN ENTIRE FUDGING YEAR to read this!
Dog dang it. Sad me is sad indeed.
BRILLIANT! Super excited despite the long wait. It’ll be worth it!
Side note, I’ve @ed you on Twitter as I can’t DM you (I think because we’re not mutual followers?)
Welp. Rip Pandamonium V.2. I’ve given up on it.
Pretttyyyyyyyyy
OOOOOOOOOH, AHHHHHHHHHHH.
Will this be published in the U.S.?
What is this book about? It looks awesome!! I want to read it once I’ve finished all Wooding’s other masterpieces.
*pokes the fandom*
hey, guys, we still alive?
I think so, I don’t know though. Maybe Chris’s lack of posting is starting to rub off on us?
this is bad
the comment section used to be so exciting
did 2016/2017 drain us?
I think it drained everyone tbh.
